  • Abstract:

This project involves a Pioneer robot that it is able to look for, identify and follow another Pioneer robot. The difficulty of this project lies in a strong identify, we can not trick with objects of similar colour and size and the robot must be detect in some orientation.

In the search, the Pioneer avoids obstacles both statics and dynamics and serch the anoter robot for all department. For this reason, we have used the technique of VFF (virtual force fields). With this, the robot approachs to its target.

In the identify, we have put into practice an algorithm based in the ethological principle of "sum heterogeneous of substimulus". In this way, the combination of certain substimulus trigger the behavior following.

In the following, the Pioneer robot follow to the another robot and avoid obstacles with the VFF technique.
