This project deals with an aplication that it is able to carry out precise estimation of vehicles speed. Besides, the number of the cars that pass on the road are counted. For this reason, we have used one camera. The camera has been the only source of information which provides images. These images are analized to give estimations of vehicles speed.

The aplication detect and track the vehicles on the road. The detection stage makes possible that the system can detect the new vehicles about the image. The tracking stage stars when the system detect a vehicle. In the two stages we need know the position on the road all the moment. For the detection and tracking we have used an evolutive algorithm and for the position of the vehicles on the road an homography.
